Scientists are amazed when they see highly technical machines building the most amazing megastructures

Segmental Bridge Launching Machine
This equipment is responsible for moving, setting and fastening the finished bridge segments to the pre-installed supports. It should be noted that while the use of such machines still required some ordinary ᴍᴀɴ labor, the volume and intensity of this labor was considerably reduced compared to the ᴍᴇᴛʜods used a century ago.
The SLJ900/32 bridge megamachine girder is 91 meters (300 feet) long, 7.4 meters (24 feet) wide, 9 meters high and weighs 580 tonnes. During its “lifetime” it can build 700-750 bridge sections, each weighing 800-950 tons. However, more than 40% of these machines are capable of growing more than 1000 plots.

tunnel boring machine
A device used to tunnel circular tunnels through various layers of rock and soil is a tunnel boring machine, sometimes known as a “mole”. They can also be used for microtunneling. They can drill into anything, including sand and hard rock. So far, tunnel diameters have varied from one meter to 17.6 meters (58 feet). Instead of TBMs, tunnels with a diameter of less than or equal to one meter are usually produced using ᴍᴇᴛʜods trenchless structures or horizontally oriented drilling methods.
TBMs can be manufactured to dig a variety of non-circular tunnel shapes such as: B. U-shaped, horseshoe-shaped, square or rectangular tunnels. Drilling and blasting (D&B) ᴍᴇᴛʜOds in rock and traditional “ᴍᴀɴual mining” in soil is being replaced by tunnel boring machines. TBM has the advantage of minimizing ground disturbance and creating smooth tunnel walls.

tower cranes
Tower crane looks like a vertical metal structure with a 360 degree rotating jib. Most of the tower cranes are on construction sites. Tower cranes are used on construction sites to lift heavy objects including steel, concrete, acetylene torches, generators and a variety of other construction materials. Tower cranes are mainly used for transporting and lifting loads. As a general rule, cranes should be turned off when wind speeds reach 32 km/h. Even before 20 mph winds were reached, project managers and contractors had to re-evaluate the elevators as wind speeds increased ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀᴏᴜ.

Spar Rig AASTA Hansteen
The project will be built on pylons and consist of an integrated deck, accommodation and beacons with a dry weight of 21,500 tons. The first savings building in Nᴏʀᴡᴀʏ, the first with condensate storage and the largest in the world is Aasta Hansteen. The process involves traditional gas drying and stabilization of the condensate from the dew point process by heating and separating it. 25,000 m3 of condensate can be stored there and the gas compressed before being exported to Nyhamna. Located in a water depth of 1,300 meters, this field has gas and condensate reserves of 40 to 60 GSm3. Due to the region’s very challenging environmental conditions, a creative design approach had to be used.
